Luxury Hardwood Orangery

Our client was in the process of building his own brand new luxury property worth £4 million. The property comprised of all the top luxury features such as a bespoke home theatre and a state of the art gymnasium, but it was also the site of his business - a luxury car dealership.

As the property was of such a high standard, our challenge was to design an orangery that was able to complement the expansive property, allow the quality of the build to run seamlessly between household and extension.

Brief:

We were asked to provide the client with a bespoke orangery that would be used as an area of relaxation and respite after a busy day’s trading.

We incorporated a bespoke fascia into the designs, but we also took classical architectural references with enhanced pilasters.

The glazing of the orangery had a major part in the design process, as we wanted to make sure the client was able to use the room at all times of the year. Our team chose glazing that diffused light evenly around the room, filtered out UV light, and provided the best amount of insulation possible. All this allowed for a beautifully lit room that provided a comfortable environment all year round.

For the coldest of months, under-floor heating and climate control were also added to give extra comfort.

The client had fully integrated audiovisual automation throughout the house, and the orangery was no exception. We took care of the pre-wiring for the audiovisual equipment, and also provided bespoke lighting solutions. Every aspect of the space had the client’s wishes in mind.

In fact the client loves the orangery so much, he also uses it as a peaceful environment for business transactions, as well as after-work relaxation.
