Twitter’s self serve advertising platform finally launched into the UK this November, and has already made a name for itself as a very useful platform for advertisers.

We have personally seen strong results from Twitter advertising when promoting our recent social media eBook to relevant members of the Twitter community, and therefore understand the power of the channel and what it can achieve.

Twitter has launched with three main targeting options:

- Interests & Followers

- Keywords

- Television Targeting

These options are great in isolation, but our main desire is to see the ability to cross reference targeting criteria to allow for more advanced targeting.

Below, we share our view on Twitter’s targeting options, and give a few opinions on how we feel the targeting could be improved within Twitter’s system.
